Facilitator - Ahmad Jones
Ahmad Jones has been on staff as a facilitator since the beginning. He is a graduate of the Birmingham City School System. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and philosophy at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. During his undergraduate studies, he also studied Chinese culture and language as an international student in Hong Kong, China (SAR). He is currently completing a Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB).
Before joining the C.H.A.M.P.S. program as a facilitator, Mr. Jones worked full-time as a college student minister with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Miles College. He has also worked with the Department of Defense, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, TSA. Mr. Jones sees the Birmingham Abstinence Education program as an opportunity to invest in Birmingham’s youth by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to have a great future! He also has deep personal convictions and is passionate about the abstinence message.
Mr. Jones is a member of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church where he works with the youth ministry. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He enjoys traveling and has spent time working in Latin America. In his free time, Mr. Jones enjoys playing basketball and watching movies. He is married to the former Candace Kirksey.
